Accident – Death – Obituary News : Multiple individuals tragically lost their lives in a series of drowning incidents over the Fourth of July holiday weekend at various lakes in Oklahoma. The Oklahoma Highway Patrol was called to respond to multiple drownings, with the first incident occurring at Lake Thunderbird on July 3. According to reports, a 53-year-old man named Sean Mooney from Harrah lost his life after falling into the water while repairing his boat without wearing a life jacket.

On July 4, another heartbreaking incident took place at Keystone Lake near Tulsa, where 39-year-old Nathaniel Richardson and a 14-year-old boy drowned while Richardson was attempting to rescue the struggling teenager in the water. The Tishomingo Police Department also confirmed a drowning in Pennington Creek.

In a separate incident, 18-year-old Zach Tawwater, a senior at Bishop McGuinness High School, tragically drowned at Grand Lake. Reports from the Grand River Dam Authority Police revealed that Tawwater was swimming with friends on Friday night when he jumped off the roof of a dock into the lake and did not resurface.

Derek Washington, the president of Next Level Basketball, fondly remembered Tawwater as “the muscle on the court, not afraid to get in and do the dirty work.” He further described Tawwater as someone who was incredibly funny, goofy, and a big teddy bear.
