The Virginia State Police are currently conducting an investigation into a tragic single-vehicle crash that resulted in the death of a 45-year-old man on Sunday. The incident took place at 5:35 p.m. on Rocky Ford Road, just two tenths of a mile east of Thaxton Mountain Road in Bedford County.
According to VSP reports, a 2016 Jeep Wrangler was travelling west on Rocky Ford Road when it veered off the right side of the roadway and collided with a tree, causing the driver to be ejected from the vehicle. The driver has been identified as Adam Terrell of Goodview, who unfortunately was not wearing a seatbelt at the time of the crash and succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
Authorities have confirmed that alcohol was a contributing factor in the accident, highlighting the importance of responsible driving and the dangers of impaired operation of a motor vehicle.
