Troy Coleman : “Missing Michigan Teen Found: Twitch Saves Day!”

A missing Michigan teen has been found safe after his brother spotted him in a popular Twitch livestream from Florida, police said.

Two popular streamers, FaZe Lacy and Clix, were streaming live from a Miami restaurant when a young boy approached them. The boy, later identified as 17-year-old Troy Coleman, had been missing for several months after leaving his Flint home and possibly boarding a bus on May 15, as reported by WCRZ.

His father, Weston Coleman, mentioned that Troy suffers from hallucinations and other medical issues but is not armed or dangerous.

In the livestream, Troy appeared disoriented and was wearing only bright green swim trunks as he wandered around the restaurant patio and interacted with diners.

During the stream, viewers made derogatory remarks towards Troy, calling him names like “crackhead” and “drunk,” while one concerned individual asked him if he was okay, as reported by Fox News.

After the encounter, FaZe Lacy received an email from someone claiming to be Troy’s brother, Trent Coleman. The email revealed that Troy had been missing for three months and suffers from schizophrenia. Trent expressed gratitude for the streamers’ assistance in locating his brother.

FaZe Lacy shared the email and a still image from the livestream on social media, sparking a wave of support and concern for Troy’s well-being.

When asked about the reference to “homicide” in the email, FaZe Lacy explained that it indicated authorities had believed Troy to be deceased, but now his family knew he was alive.

Following the online outreach, the streamers were able to connect with Troy’s brother and inform him of Troy’s whereabouts. Troy was located by police in Miami and was awaiting reunification with his family.

The Flint Township Police Department expressed gratitude to everyone involved in the search for Troy, confirming that he had been found safe in Miami and arrangements were being made for his return to Michigan.
