Kluang OCPD Asst Comm Bahrin Mohd Noh reported that the tragic accident occurred around 11.15pm on Friday, July 5, resulting in the untimely demise of two motorcyclists.

One of the deceased has been identified as 16-year-old Luqman Afiq Amir, while the other victim, believed to be a male Myanmar national in his forties, tragically lost his life in the collision.

“Preliminary investigations revealed that the teenager, riding a motorcycle belonging to his adoptive father, was travelling from Machap towards Simpang Renggam when he lost control of the vehicle, veering into the opposite lane and colliding with the foreign national,” ACP Bahrin explained.

Tragically, the local youth succumbed to severe head and body injuries at the scene, while the foreign victim passed away during treatment at Enche’ Besar Hajjah Khalsom Kluang Hospital.

Further checks revealed that the teenager did not possess a valid driving license, and no identification documents were found on the foreign victim.

ACP Bahrin announced that the case is under investigation in accordance with Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, urging all road users to exercise vigilance and comply with road regulations to ensure their safety.
