A devastating incident occurred in Arlington on Friday when a 36-year-old woman lost her life in a fatal car crash. The victim, identified as Lea Ramirez, was driving a Jeep Cherokee southbound on NW Green Oaks Boulevard when the vehicle veered off course and collided with a guide wire for an electrical pole and a concrete structure.
The accident took place around 11:30 a.m. in the 2200 block of NW Green Oaks Boulevard. According to Arlington police, Ramirez’s Jeep Cherokee crossed all lanes before leaving the road and crashing into the obstacles. Despite the efforts of emergency responders, Ramirez was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Tarrant County Medical Examiner’s Office has confirmed the identity of the deceased driver as Lea Ramirez. The circumstances surrounding the crash remain unclear, and police are investigating why the vehicle left the road.
Tragically, a 4-year-old passenger was also in the vehicle at the time of the accident. The child was taken to a nearby hospital for evaluation, receiving medical attention following the traumatic event.
