Accident – Death – Obituary News :

PRINCE GEORGE’S COUNTY, Md. – Minnesota Vikings cornerback Khyree Jackson, a talented fourth-round pick in the 2024 NFL draft, tragically lost his life in a devastating triple-fatal crash in Prince George’s County, Maryland.

Authorities from the Maryland State Police are currently investigating the horrific incident that occurred in the early hours of Saturday morning, claiming the lives of three young individuals. The victims have been identified as 23-year-old Isaiah Hazel from Upper Marlboro, 24-year-old Khyree Jackson from Waldorf, and 24-year-old Anthony Lytton Jr. from Upper Marlboro. All three individuals were former students of Wise Jr. High School in Prince George’s County.

According to reports, Hazel and Jackson were pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel, while Lytton was rushed to the University of Maryland Capital Region Medical Center, where he sadly passed away. The three victims were occupants of a maroon Dodge Charger involved in the fatal crash, with Hazel behind the wheel, Jackson in the front seat, and Lytton seated in the back of the vehicle.

The tragic incident took place shortly after 3:14 a.m. on Saturday morning, with Maryland State Police troopers responding to a crash on northbound Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue and Presidential Parkway north of Dower House Road in Upper Marlboro. The collision involved three vehicles, including a silver Infinity Q50, a silver Chevrolet Impala, and the maroon Dodge Charger carrying the three victims.

Investigations suggest that the driver of the silver Infiniti, identified as Cori Clingman, was travelling northbound on Route 4/Pennsylvania Avenue at a high rate of speed when she attempted to change lanes and collided with the Dodge Charger, subsequently striking the Chevrolet Impala. The Charger veered off the right side of the road, hitting multiple tree stumps before coming to a stop.

Fortunately, Clingman and her two passengers in the Infinity were unharmed in the accident, as well as the sole occupant of the Chevrolet Impala, who refused medical treatment at the scene. Authorities suspect that alcohol may have been a contributing factor to the crash, with charges pending further investigation.

Heartbroken by the tragic loss, Khyree Jackson’s mother, Ebbony Jackson, shared the devastating news of her son’s passing in a car accident in Upper Marlboro, Maryland. Vikings head coach Kevin O’Connell also expressed his grief, praising Khyree’s vibrant energy and promising potential as a professional football player and a remarkable individual.

As the community mourns the loss of these young lives, our thoughts and prayers go out to the families, friends, teammates, and coaches affected by this tragic event.
