LOUDON, Tenn. (WVLT/Gray News) – A 75-year-old man tragically lost his life in a drowning incident at the Tennessee National Marina on Thursday. The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency confirmed that multiple emergency response teams were involved in the rescue efforts.

According to officials, the victim, identified as James Doyle Frost from Knoxville, was attempting to secure his boat to the dock on Watts Bar Lake when he accidentally fell into the water. Despite efforts to rescue him, Frost did not resurface.

The Tennessee Wildlife Resource Agency deployed an ROV (remote operated vehicle) to locate Frost’s body in the water. A dive team from the Loudon County Sheriff’s Office successfully recovered his body late on Thursday evening.

The collaborative efforts of various agencies, including the Loudon Police Department, Loudon County Rescue Squad, Loudon County Sheriff’s Office, and Loudon Fire Department, played a crucial role in the search and recovery operation.
