The tragic death of a young man in Westmoreland County has left the community in mourning, particularly his fellow members at the Paintertown Volunteer Fire Department where he had been a volunteer since the age of 14.
Jacob Lazar, 18, lost his life after being struck by a falling tree while helping to clean up storm damage on Thursday. The Paintertown Volunteer Fire Department honoured his memory with a sign displayed outside the station that read, “Rest in peace FF Jacob Lazar. Thank you for your dedication.”
