The Sanibel Police Chief, William Dalton, confirmed the heartbreaking news on Friday night that the body of 17-year-old Isaac Breese, a teenager from Cape Coral, has been found in the waters off the coast of Sanibel Island. The discovery was made on Thursday afternoon, and the identification was made official on Friday evening.
The incident unfolded on Tuesday when distress calls were reported to 911 regarding swimmers in trouble at Blind Pass. Despite the swift response from rescuers who managed to save two swimmers, young Isaac Breese was reported missing. The search operation was launched immediately and involved multiple agencies who tirelessly combated the challenging conditions until Thursday.
Chief William Dalton expressed his gratitude towards all the agencies involved in the search efforts for Isaac. He humbly requested the community to keep the teenager and his family in their thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
