In the Boston area, three separate shootings occurred after the city’s Fourth of July celebrations, resulting in one man’s death. A third shooting at a gas station left a victim with life-threatening injuries.

The violence extended to other parts of the country, with reports of shootings in Connecticut, Albany, New York, Detroit, and Tampa, among others. In High Point, North Carolina, a shooting at an unofficial fireworks display claimed the life of one person. Similarly, shootings at two Fourth of July gatherings in St. Louis left two men dead and five others injured, two critically.

As the nation grapples with the aftermath of the holiday weekend violence, authorities are working to investigate the incidents and bring those responsible to justice.
