Courtney Fleming : “Olive Branch Carjacking Suspect Extradited, Manhunt Continues”

July 6, 2024 – Authorities in DeSoto County are still on the lookout for an adult suspect, identified as Courtney Fleming, aged 18, in connection with an armed carjacking incident involving a DoorDash driver that took place back in May. Two juveniles have already been apprehended in relation to the crime, with one of them recently extradited back to DeSoto County from Memphis.

Details of the Incident

The carjacking incident occurred on May 12, when three masked individuals approached a DoorDash driver at Poke World on 5142 Goodman Road in Olive Branch at around 8 p.m. The suspects used pepper spray and a gun to intimidate the driver before fleeing with the vehicle.

Juveniles Apprehended

One of the apprehended juveniles, aged 16, was successfully extradited back to DeSoto County from Memphis last week. The individual is now facing adult felony charges in connection with the armed carjacking. Another juvenile, aged 13, has also been taken into custody and is set to face charges in youth court for their involvement in the incident.

Collaborative Efforts

The Olive Branch Police Department and the DeSoto County District Attorney’s Office worked together to locate and extradite the 16-year-old juvenile from Memphis. District Attorney Matthew Barton commended the joint efforts of the investigators in capturing the suspects.
