London, UK – Rain has once again disrupted play at Wimbledon, causing delays for the second consecutive day. The All England Club is struggling to catch up after several matches were suspended overnight.

The morning rain has led to the postponement of play on the outside courts until at least 12:45 p.m. (1145 GMT), resulting in a delay of 1 hour and 45 minutes.

Weather forecasts indicate that showers may persist well into the afternoon, potentially causing further disruption to an already packed schedule. Four men’s third-round matches were not completed on Friday due to rain, including Ben Shelton’s match against Denis Shapovalov on No. 1 Court.

Fortunately, one match will not have to be played as ninth-seeded Alex de Minaur received a walkover into the fourth round after his opponent, Lucas Pouille, withdrew with an abdominal injury.

Later matches featured seven-time Wimbledon champion Novak Djokovic facing Alexei Popyrin on Centre Court, and women’s No. 1 Iga Swiatek taking on Yulia Putintseva on No. 1 Court.
