Hendersonville authorities have confirmed that the remains discovered off Vietnam Veterans Boulevard belong to 17-year-old Trinity Bostic, who was reported missing from Macon County on June 29.

According to a press release from the Hendersonville Police Department on July 5, foul play is suspected in this tragic case. The authorities have chosen to withhold further details to safeguard the integrity of the ongoing investigation.

The investigation into Bostic’s death commenced on July 3 after a Tennessee Department of Highway subcontractor, who was collecting litter along the roadside, stumbled upon the remains in a secluded wooded area near the intersection of Vietnam Veterans Boulevard and New Shackle Island Road.

Notably, Trinity Bostic was not listed among the active missing child alerts on the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation’s website or on their roster of missing children in the state.
