Accident – Death – Obituary News : Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office officials have reported a series of recent arrests in the area. One such incident involved Robert Kaczor Jr., a 29-year-old resident of Fredonia, who was charged with two counts of second-degree criminal contempt. While being held at the Chautauqua County Jail, Kaczor allegedly made contact with two individuals who had full stay away orders of protection against him. He is scheduled to appear in Chautauqua Town Court to face these charges at a later date.

In another incident, Joshua Dash, a 44-year-old resident of Portland, was charged with second-degree criminal contempt, endangering the welfare of a child, and second-degree harassment. The charges stem from an alleged incident where Dash harassed another individual in the presence of a child at a residence in Portland. He was taken into custody and transported to the county jail to await arraignment through the centralized arraignment program. Dash is set to answer to these charges in Portland Town Court in the near future.

A traffic stop conducted by the Chautauqua County Sheriff’s Office in Hanover led to the arrest of Marc Bukaty, a 55-year-old resident of Osprey, Fla. Bukaty, the operator of the vehicle, was found to be driving while intoxicated. He was charged with DWI and No/Insufficient Tail Lamps. Bukaty was later released with tickets to appear in town court at a later date.

Over in Jamestown, Maurice C. Hough, a 42-year-old resident, faced charges of seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance and two counts of tampering with physical evidence. Hough was spotted by officers riding a motorized scooter on the running track near Persell School. He had an active warrant from Jamestown City Court and attempted to conceal and destroy evidence during his arrest. Hough was found to be in possession of over one half of an ounce of methamphetamine and was held pending arraignment.

Additionally, Michael C Hetrick, a 39-year-old individual, was charged with second-degree burglary, first-degree criminal contempt, criminal obstruction of breathing and blood circulation, unlawful imprisonment, and resisting arrest following an incident on the west side of Jamestown. Hetrick had entered a home without permission and held the victim down, impeding her ability to breathe. He was located in a wooded area near the residence and actively resisted arrest before being taken into custody and held pending arraignment.
