Rakesh Kumar Shah : Youth Shoots Lover, Commits Suicide in Kolkata – Woman Safe

In a tragic incident in Kolkata, a 27-year-old youth named Rakesh Kumar Shah from Budge Budge in South 24 Parganas district of West Bengal, committed suicide after shooting his 23-year-old girlfriend, Nikku Kumari Dubey. The incident took place at a lodge in the Lake Gardens area of Kolkata last evening. While Nikku is currently undergoing treatment, her condition is reported to be stable with no serious injuries.

The couple had checked into the lodge at 2 pm on the fateful day, and gunshots were heard around 4:30 pm. Nikku was seen running towards the reception with a gunshot wound on her thigh. As the staff rushed to help her, another gunshot was heard from their room. Upon entering the room, Rakesh was found lying in a pool of blood.

The police have registered a case in connection with the incident and are conducting further investigations. Medical reports indicate that Nikku sustained gunshot wounds on her abdomen and thigh, requiring immediate medical attention.

According to the police, the couple had been in a relationship for seven years, but Nikku expressed her desire to end the relationship. This reportedly enraged Rakesh, leading to the tragic events that unfolded at the lodge. Despite his attempts to persuade her, Nikku stood firm on her decision, prompting Rakesh to shoot her before taking his own life.
