GRAND FORKS, N.D. (Valley News Live) – Tragedy struck at Sledster’s Food and Brew in Grand Forks as one person lost their life in a fatal shooting incident. The Grand Forks Police Department responded to the scene on South 4th Street following reports of gunfire on Thursday July 4.
Upon arrival, authorities discovered an adult victim with gunshot wounds, lying on the ground. Despite efforts to administer life-saving measures, the individual succumbed to their injuries at the scene.
The alleged perpetrator, identified as 26-year-old Nicholas Narveson from Grand Forks, was swiftly apprehended by law enforcement at Tea and Crepe’s on Demers Ave. The arrest was made without any resistance, and Narveson was subsequently taken into custody at Grand Forks County Corrections on a charge of murder.
The identity of the deceased victim will be disclosed by authorities once their next of kin has been informed. At present, the police have assured the public that there is no ongoing threat to safety in the area.
