A 41-year-old man from Lake Elsinore has been taken into custody after allegedly attacking another man with a knife, according to authorities. The incident took place on the 32000 block of Riverside Drive around 10:45 p.m. on Wednesday, prompting a response from deputies at the Riverside County Sheriff’s Department’s Lake Elsinore station.

The victim, who sustained head injuries in the attack, reported being assaulted by a white male adult with a knife. Following an investigation, the suspect was identified as Michael Losoya, 41. Losoya was located a short distance away from the scene and was subsequently arrested.

Although the victim was evaluated for injuries at the scene, they declined further medical assistance. Meanwhile, Losoya has been booked into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on charges of attempted murder and resisting arrest. His bail has been set at $1 million.
