Following a deadly daylight stabbing at Jane Station in Toronto last week, police have announced that two arrests have been made in connection with the incident.

The tragic event took place just before 6 p.m. in the bus bay area of Jane Station, situated near Jane and Bloor streets.

Reports indicate that an altercation ensued between a suspect and another individual on a TTC bus, which then escalated once they disembarked at Jane Station.

During a physical confrontation between the two males, the suspect fatally stabbed the victim, identified as 39-year-old Matthew Rumble. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Rumble succumbed to his injuries.

Initially, the suspect fled the scene on foot accompanied by an unidentified female, but on Thursday, authorities managed to apprehend both individuals with the help of Waterloo Regional Police.

Suspects Charged

22-year-old Tefai Silva Opoku-Boadu, hailing from Kitchener, has been charged with second-degree murder in connection with the incident. He is set to appear in court on Friday.

Additionally, 19-year-old Mackenzie Hargrave, a resident of Warminster, faces charges of being an accessory after the fact to murder. She, too, is scheduled to appear in court on Friday morning.
