Keith Register : “Florida Man Assaults Woman on Bike”

ST. CLOUD, Fla. – A Florida man is alleged to have approached a woman riding a bicycle and reportedly assaulted her in St. Cloud, as reported by the local police. 

The incident took place on June 30 at approximately 9 p.m., when authorities received a report of a verbal altercation at the Circle K gas station located at 613 13th St. 

Upon arrival, law enforcement was informed by a store employee that a shirtless, tattooed individual had been involved in an argument with customers and staff inside the store before abruptly leaving. 

During the investigation, a subsequent call was received regarding the same individual allegedly assaulting a woman in the vicinity of 12th St and Virginia Ave, according to an official affidavit. The responding officer spotted a man fitting the description provided by witnesses and approached him. 

As the man was being restrained and handcuffed by the officer, he resisted and attempted to flee by running into a nearby yard. The officer pursued and apprehended the suspect, who then struck the officer with an “open palm strike.”

Another officer arrived at the scene and deployed a taser to subdue the individual, later identified as 29-year-old Keith Register. 

Upon interviewing the victim of the assault, she recounted that she was cycling when Register approached her aggressively. Despite her attempts to deter him, he punched her in the face, causing her to fall, as per police records. 

The victim then witnessed Register heading towards her mother and ran after him, only to be struck again, resulting in another fall. Register then fled the scene. 

Register was subsequently arrested and is facing charges of simple battery and resisting arrest with violence.
