On the 4th of July, the Monroe Police Department’s H.E.A.T team swiftly responded to a report of shots fired while on duty at the Monroe Housing Authority Foster Heights Location in Monroe, Louisiana.
Upon arrival, officers encountered a suspect identified as Anthony Lowery, who was seen brandishing a firearm. Lowery promptly fled into an apartment upon spotting law enforcement presence. The brave officers pursued Lowery into the apartment, where a physical altercation ensued as he resisted arrest.
Following the incident, Anthony Lowery was apprehended and taken into custody by the Monroe Police Department. He now faces a slew of charges, including resisting an officer, resisting a police officer with force or violence, illegal use of a weapon, unauthorized entry of an inhabited dwelling, obstruction of justice, and possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
