According to reports, the incident occurred on June 24, at approximately 11:58 p.m. Four individuals reportedly emerged from a white or light-coloured SUV in the Jane Street and Falstaff Avenue vicinity. They proceeded to discharge multiple rounds of gunfire before swiftly retreating to their vehicle and fleeing from the scene.
Law enforcement officers swiftly responded to the incident and discovered a male victim who had sustained gunshot wounds. The victim was swiftly transported to a local trauma centre, where unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries.
The deceased individual has been identified as Ajay Simpson, a 20-year-old resident of Toronto.
The suspect in question, a 14-year-old boy, was apprehended on Thursday and subsequently charged with first-degree murder in connection with the incident.
