In a heartbreaking incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, a 10-year-old boy tragically lost his life after falling from a tree while attempting to pluck almonds. The incident took place under the jurisdiction of the Betma police station on Monday, and despite receiving medical treatment, the young boy succumbed to his injuries the following day.
Details of the Incident
The young boy, identified as Yash and the son of Mohan Dangi from Kali Billod, had gone to pluck almonds from a tree with his friend Ayush. While attempting to retrieve an almond that was out of reach, Yash climbed back up the tree but unfortunately lost his balance and fell to the ground, rendering him unconscious. Ayush quickly alerted the family members, who rushed Yash to the hospital. Tragically, despite their efforts, Yash passed away around 1:30 pm the next day.
A Heartbreaking Loss

Yash’s father, Mohan, shared that his son had recently been admitted to class 3, with the school reopening just a week prior to the incident. Mohan had even purchased a new uniform and books for Yash on Monday, as he was eagerly looking forward to attending school the following day. However, fate had a different plan, and the family was left devastated by the sudden loss of their youngest child, who also had two elder sisters.
Other Tragic Incidents in the Area
Unfortunately, Yash’s incident was not the only tragic event to occur in the region. An 81-year-old man, Gokal Singh Katare, lost his life after falling from the first floor of his under-construction house in Azad Nagar. Additionally, a 65-year-old labourer, Kanhaiya Lal Vishwakarma, passed away after a tin shed fell on him while he was working at a site. Furthermore, a 32-year-old man, Rakesh Gudve, was electrocuted at a farmhouse under Khudel police station limits while washing vehicles.
Investigations Underway
The local authorities are conducting investigations into each of these incidents to determine the circumstances that led to these tragic events. The community has been left in shock and mourning over the loss of these individuals, highlighting the importance of safety precautions and vigilance in everyday activities.
