Trevon Robinson : “Chicago Man Charged with Armed Carjacking of Elderly Woman”

CHICAGO – A resident of Chicago has been apprehended for the harrowing crime of carjacking an elderly woman at gunpoint in the Calumet Heights neighbourhood on the South Side. The suspect, identified as Trevon Robinson, aged 19, was taken into custody on Tuesday in the Back of the Yards area following a thorough investigation by the Chicago Police Department.

Robinson has been formally charged with a serious felony offence of aggravated vehicular hijacking with a firearm, in connection with an incident that occurred on June 8 at approximately 3:10 p.m. According to authorities, Robinson brandished a weapon and forcibly stole a vehicle from an 83-year-old woman in the 1900 block of East 95th Street.

Following his arrest, Robinson was brought before the Chicago Police Vehicular Hijacking Task Force and subsequently charged with the offence. He is scheduled to appear at a detention hearing on Thursday to determine his legal status in light of the serious allegations against him.
