In Montgomery County, Texas, tragedy struck early on the Fourth of July as a man lost his life and two young girls were rushed to the hospital following a single-vehicle crash.

The Texas Department of Public Safety (DPS) reported that the incident occurred shortly after midnight in the 700 block of Sawdust Rd. Investigators were called to the scene where they found a car that had veered off the road and crashed into a guardrail before coming to a stop in a nearby parking lot.

The driver, identified as 29-year-old Reginald James House from Humble, was pronounced dead at the scene. It is unclear what caused House to lose control of the vehicle, leading to the tragic outcome.

Accompanying House in the car were two young girls, aged 5 and 7 respectively, whose identities have not been disclosed by Texas DPS at this time. The girls sustained minor injuries in the crash and were transported to Memorial Hermann – The Woodlands for treatment.
