The Spartanburg County Coroner’s Office is currently investigating a fatal crash that occurred on Thursday morning on Interstate 26.
According to reports from the South Carolina Highway Patrol, the incident took place just after 5:30 a.m. Two vehicles were travelling westbound on I-26 when a sedan attempted to change lanes. The sedan collided with a pickup truck, causing the truck to veer off the road and overturn.
Tragically, the driver of the pickup truck did not survive the crash. The driver of the sedan was reportedly unharmed in the accident.
As of now, the identity of the deceased driver has not been released to the public.
Authorities are continuing to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash. More information will be provided as it becomes available.
