Police officials in Prince William County responded to a distress call on July 3, where they found a woman holding a piece of concrete in an intersection near Portsmouth Rd. in Manassas (20109). The woman, identified as Kimberly SIERRA-OVANDO, was seen throwing missiles at vehicles and damaging multiple parked cars. Upon confrontation by officers, she resisted arrest and assaulted two law enforcement officers before being subdued and taken into custody. Fortunately, no injuries were reported in the incident.
Details of the Arrest
Kimberly SIERRA-OVANDO, a 20-year-old individual with no fixed address, was charged with multiple offenses including assault & battery on law enforcement officers, throwing missiles at occupied vehicles, obstruction of justice, vandalism, and careless interference with traffic. As of now, her court date is pending, and bond information is unavailable.
Additionally, in a separate crime incident in the county, police arrested Anthony Allen ANZELONE in connection with a shooting into a residential dwelling on June 22. The incident, which occurred in the 8400 block of Carneros Valley Ct. in Bristow (20136), involved ANZELONE and another individual firing rounds that struck a neighboring residence.
Suspect in Custody
Anthony Allen ANZELONE, a 55-year-old resident of Bristow, was charged with shooting into an occupied dwelling and reckless handling of a firearm. He was arrested on July 3, and his bond was set at $7,500 unsecured. Police also issued arrest warrants for Kevin Lee JACKSON, the other individual involved in the shooting. However, attempts to locate JACKSON have been unsuccessful so far.
Kevin Lee JACKSON, described as a 56-year-old black male from Reston, is wanted for felon in possession of a firearm, shooting into an occupied dwelling, and reckless handling of a firearm.
Previous Incident Report
On June 22, officers responded to the initial report of a destruction of property at the same residence in Bristow. The occupants of the home heard gunfire and discovered damage to a side window. Fortunately, no injuries or further property damage were reported in this incident.
