A fatal motorcycle accident occurred in Vernon County on Sunday, June 23rd, claiming the life of a 39-year-old man from Galesburg, Illinois.
Sheriff Roy Torgerson reported that the incident took place at around 10 a.m. on State Highway 35 in the Town of Bergen. The motorcyclist, identified as Jonathon Lee Tomlinson, was travelling south on the highway when he lost control of his bike, leading to a serious crash.
Unfortunately, Tomlinson was ejected from the motorcycle and sustained severe injuries. He was quickly rushed to the hospital for treatment, but tragically succumbed to his injuries on Wednesday, July 3rd. It was revealed that Tomlinson was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident.
