The incident took place at their residence in the Mahuta area of Kaduna on June 23. The abductors, believed to number up to 15, invaded the judge’s home at night while her husband, a medical doctor, was away on duty.

Tragically, the abductors killed the 14-year-old son of the judge, Victor Gimba, in captivity after the family failed to meet the ransom demands. Victor was fatally shot on July 2, adding a heartbreaking twist to the already distressing situation. The bandits had demanded a staggering N300 million ransom for the release of the judge and her sons, threatening to harm the victims if their demands were not met promptly.
