Prior to officers’ arrival at the scene in the 300 block of North Main Street, it was brought to their attention that Stewart was the subject of an outstanding felony warrant for second-degree kidnapping issued by the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.

Upon reaching the residence, officers made attempts to establish contact with Stewart, but their efforts proved fruitless.

Concerned for the safety of residents in the vicinity, a shelter-in-place notification was issued to all individuals within a quarter mile radius of the area. The notification instructed residents to remain indoors and to avoid approaching doors and windows.
