Accident – Death – Obituary News : The Ukiah Police Department has issued a press release regarding a recent incident that took place on the evening of 06/25/2024. According to the report, UPD Officers responded to a call at 390 East Gobbi Street where a 28-year-old male victim reported being robbed of his bicycle and personal belongings by two suspects. One of the suspects has been identified as 20-year-old Bryan Gonzales, while the other remains at large.

Surveillance footage reviewed by UPD Officers showed the two suspects approaching the victim in a gray Acura MDX SUV. They then proceeded to forcefully take the victim’s bicycle and other belongings before fleeing the scene. Gonzales was seen taking the victim’s personal items and driving away in the Acura, while the other suspect made off with the stolen bicycle.

Utilizing the FLOCK camera system, UPD Officers were able to obtain the license plate of the Acura and track it to the 700 block of Orr St in Ukiah. Additionally, a silver Honda Accord was found in the same area with a known stolen item visible in the passenger side of the vehicle. Further investigation revealed that Gonzales had ties to an address in that vicinity.

Following the discovery of the stolen items, a UPD Officer obtained a search warrant from the Mendocino County Superior Courthouse. The warrant was successfully executed, leading to the recovery of various stolen goods and the arrest of Gonzales. He has since been charged with the offences mentioned above and is currently being held at the Mendocino County Jail.
