(Oak Grove) The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office has released the names of those involved in a tragic vehicle collision in the town of Oak Grove in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The incident, which resulted in a fatality, is currently under investigation by authorities.
Victims Identified
The driver of the Chevy Malibu has been identified as Vincent R. Garza from Beaver Dam, who tragically lost his life at the scene of the crash. The driver of the Mack semi has been named as Daniel La Brec from New Holstein, while the driver of the other semi involved in the collision has been identified as Bradley Vandrisse from Pulaski.
Details of the Crash
The fatal crash occurred at the intersection of County Highway A/I and County Highway W in Oak Grove at 2:42 am on July 2, 2024. The area is situated approximately 2.5 miles west of the city of Juneau. Investigations revealed that a silver 2012 Chevy Malibu, driven by a 25-year-old male from Beaver Dam, was travelling northbound on County Highway A/I when it veered into the southbound lane at the intersection with CTH W, colliding with a 2022 Mack semi hauling a flatbed trailer loaded with steel. The driver of the Malibu sustained fatal injuries, while the driver of the semi, a 63-year-old male from New Holstein, suffered minor injuries and was taken to Marshfield Medical Centre in Beaver Dam for treatment. Another semi, travelling northbound on CTH A/I, was also struck by the Malibu, but the 59-year-old driver from Pulaski escaped unharmed.
Assistance at the Scene
Responding to the scene of the crash were emergency services including the Juneau Fire Department, Juneau EMS, Horicon Fire Department, Beaver Dam Paramedics, and the Burnett Fire Department, as well as the Dodge County Medical Examiner’s Office. The Dodge County Sheriff’s Office Crash Investigation Team is currently conducting a thorough investigation into the incident, with the names of the victims being withheld until their families have been notified.
