The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) are on the lookout for a man who allegedly approached two 15-year-old girls and asked them if they wanted to engage in illicit activities with him. The incident took place last Wednesday evening in the parking lot of Mission Ridge Shopping Centre on McKinney Avenue in St. Albert.
According to a statement released by the St. Albert RCMP, the man reportedly approached the teenage girls and made inappropriate advances towards them, including suggesting that they do drugs and engage in sexual activities with him.
Feeling scared and uncomfortable, the two girls sought the help of their 14-year-old male friend who was also present at the scene. The boy confronted the man about his behaviour, which led to an altercation. The man allegedly punched the boy in the face before fleeing the area. An adult bystander tried to intervene but was unable to apprehend the suspect.
Description of the Suspect
The suspect is described as a man aged between 25 and 30 years old, standing at 5 feet 10 inches tall. He has a light skin tone, a slim build, black hair, and a mustache. At the time of the incident, he was wearing a black hoodie and black shorts.
The St. Albert RCMP are urging anyone with information about the suspect or the incident to come forward and contact them at 780-458-7700. The authorities are keen to identify and apprehend the individual responsible for the disturbing behaviour towards the teenage girls and the assault on the young boy.
