LAWRENCE TOWNSHIP, NJ (MERCER)–The New Jersey State Park Police have reported that a body was discovered in the Delaware & Raritan Canal in Lawrence Township, Mercer County. The incident involved a joint operation with the police, Lawrence Township Fire Department, EMS, and the Trenton Fire Department’s Water Rescue Team. A medical examiner was called to the scene to investigate the discovery. The body was found around 9:15 a.m. following an initial call to the Lawrence Police Department and was located approximately half a mile north of Whitehead Road.
