The Columbus Police Department has reported a disturbing incident involving a Lyft driver and a passenger that took place on Tuesday evening in Columbus, Georgia.

According to authorities, officers were called to Veterans Parkway and Hancock Road at approximately 8:06 p.m. following reports of a kidnapping. The suspect, identified as 46-year-old Justin Dean Pulley, had been picked up by the Lyft driver from the Sleep Inn & Suites on Armour Road.

It is alleged that Pulley refused to exit the victim’s vehicle at the intended drop-off location as specified in the Lyft app. Instead, he reportedly brandished a knife and held the victim against their will. Thankfully, the situation was brought under control, and Pulley is now in custody.

The Columbus Police Department is continuing to investigate this harrowing incident. Any witnesses or individuals with information are urged to come forward and assist with the ongoing inquiry.
