MONROE, U.K. (WBTV) – In a startling turn of events, a murder suspect was apprehended by Monroe police officers during a routine traffic stop on Tuesday afternoon.
The suspect, identified as 25-year-old Jamison Chambers from Wingate, was taken into custody and placed in the Union County Detention Center under no bond. Chambers faces several charges, including Driving While Impaired, Carrying a Concealed Weapon, and Child Abuse.
Furthermore, Chambers was served with fugitive warrants for failing to appear on charges of Murder, Possessing a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and Armed Robbery.

According to police reports, Chambers was pulled over along West Roosevelt Boulevard near Morgan Mill Road due to an expired license plate. However, during the stop, the officer discovered that Chambers was impaired from alcohol, driving with a suspended license, and had minor children in the vehicle with him.
