Accident – Death – Obituary News : Rescue teams in Salt Lake City, Utah have successfully recovered the body of a missing kayaker from Little Dell Reservoir on Wednesday morning. The woman, identified as 29-year-old Hailey Mason from Salt Lake City, was witnessed falling into the water at Little Dell Reservoir on Tuesday evening. Little Dell Reservoir is located just north of the Mountain Dell exit off I-80, to the west of Summit Park.

According to Salt Lake County Sheriff Rosie Rivera, Mason was alone on the lake on Tuesday when bystanders heard her calling for help around 2 p.m. Witnesses immediately dialed 911 upon spotting Mason struggling near her kayak in the water. Unfortunately, she disappeared beneath the surface before anyone could reach her.

Sheriff Rivera mentioned at a press conference on Wednesday that she did not have information regarding why Mason was at Little Dell Reservoir by herself. The circumstances surrounding the incident remain unclear.
