A tragic incident unfolded in Wythe County, Virginia, as a 71-year-old man lost his life following a collision on Tuesday, as confirmed by the Virginia State Police.

Reports indicate that a 2020 Harley Davison Tri Glide was travelling in a westerly direction on Max Meadows Road when it was impacted in the intersection by a 2014 Dodge Ram 1500 travelling northbound.

The force of the impact caused the motorcycle to spin out of control and overturn multiple times, leading to severe injuries for the rider, later identified as Fred Stowers from Max Meadows, Virginia. Despite being rushed to the hospital, Stowers sadly succumbed to his injuries.

It is worth noting that Stowers was wearing a helmet at the time of the collision, highlighting the importance of safety gear for motorcyclists.

Fortunately, the driver of the Dodge, identified as Charlie S. Hudson, aged 69, escaped the incident unscathed, as per the police report.

The authorities are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the crash, with potential charges pending against Hudson as the investigation unfolds.
