MILWAUKEE, Wis. (WDJT) – A tragic incident unfolded at a Wisconsin hotel where security guards were caught on camera restraining a man and allegedly hitting him with an object. The man, identified as 43-year-old Dvontaye Mitchell, eventually became unresponsive and tragically passed away.

The distressing video footage shows Mitchell struggling on the floor outside the Hyatt Regency Hotel entrance on a Sunday afternoon. Witnesses reported that the security guards were seen hitting Mitchell multiple times, despite him not resisting.

Shawn Moore, a witness to the altercation, described the events as he captured them on camera. He mentioned that the guards were telling Mitchell to stop resisting, even though he was not putting up a struggle.

The situation escalated when one of the guards allegedly made a comment about Mitchell entering the ladies’ room, although the exact statement remains unconfirmed. When the police arrived, they found Mitchell unresponsive, and despite their efforts to save him, he was pronounced dead.
