The tragic death of 23-year-old Danielle Littrell has left the community of Spokane in mourning. The medical examiner has determined that Littrell passed away due to “blunt force injuries of the head and torso,” with the manner of death being ruled as an accident.
According to the Spokane Police Department (SPD), the incident occurred when Littrell, who was riding a scooter, was traveling north on Lincoln Avenue. At the intersection, a driver heading east came to a stop at a stop sign before proceeding into the intersection, resulting in a collision between the car and the scooter.
Witnesses in the area rushed to Littrell’s aid and began performing CPR until emergency medical services arrived. Despite their efforts, Littrell succumbed to her injuries shortly after the accident.
SPD has stated that there is no indication that the driver of the car was under the influence of any substances at the time of the incident.
