A 68-year-old man tragically lost his life in a devastating accident in Addagutta, Tukaramgate, Hyderabad on Tuesday. The victim, identified as D V Venkata Narasaiah, a resident of Boduppal, had come to his relative’s house to attend a memorial service. Little did he know that this visit would end in such a tragic manner.
According to the authorities, it is believed that the unfortunate incident occurred when Narasaiah accidentally opened a door to a lift shaft without realizing that the lift compartment was not at his level. This simple mistake led to his fall into the elevator pit, resulting in severe injuries that proved to be fatal.
The lift compartment then rapidly descended and landed on Narasaiah, causing his untimely death. His family members, who noticed his absence, launched a search and tragically found him in the lift shaft. The authorities were immediately informed, and a case was registered.
The body of the deceased was then transferred to the Gandhi Hospital morgue for a postmortem examination. The investigation into the incident is currently ongoing as the authorities are working to determine the exact circumstances that led to this tragic accident.
