Accident – Death – Obituary News :

In a recent incident at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (Naia) Terminal 3, a 19-year-old Vietnamese woman, Ban Thi Van, was arrested for unruly behavior during an immigration clearance process. The Bureau of Immigration (BI) reported that Ban aggressively snatched her passport from the immigration officer and caused a scene by throwing herself on the floor and shouting.

According to BI officials, Ban’s disruptive behavior extended to streaming her outburst on social media, creating a disturbance in the immigration departure area. Immigration officers had to seek assistance from BI’s border control and intelligence unit, as well as airport police, to pacify the situation before arresting Ban.

Following her arrest, Ban was taken to the BI’s head office in Intramuros for inquest proceedings. She was later transferred to the agency’s facility inside Camp Bagong Diwa in Taguig pending deportation.

This incident comes just a month after another Vietnamese national caused chaos at Naia Terminal 3 by running naked towards the final security checkpoint. The security protocol at Naia has been questioned following these incidents, raising concerns about the effectiveness of the airport’s security measures.

Immigration authorities are working to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and staff at Naia, implementing strict measures to prevent similar incidents in the future. The BI continues to monitor and enhance security protocols to maintain order and safety at the airport.
