ATLANTA, Ga. (Atlanta News First) – Cobb County police have announced that they will be holding a news conference on Wednesday morning to provide an update on the heartbreaking incident in which a child passed away after being left inside a car on Tuesday.
The tragic incident unfolded around 7 p.m. at 884 Wanda Circle, where authorities were summoned to the scene and discovered the child. Despite being rushed to the hospital, the child did not survive.
The Cobb County Police Department has stated that its Major Crimes Unit is currently conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding this devastating event.
Neighbour Describes Heartbreaking Scene
Amy Barnes, a resident in the neighbourhood, recounted the distressing moment when the child was brought into the house. She described the child as being “blue-faced” and the chaos that ensued as emergency services were called to the scene.

“Next thing I know, people are screaming, and 911 got called,” Barnes said. “It’s a tragedy.”
