The harrowing incident took place at approximately 3:20 a.m. on Sunday at the intersection of Christy Street and Stewart Avenue, as reported by the Fremont Police Department in a recent press release. The victim, a 48-year-old woman from Fremont, succumbed to her injuries at the scene.
Reports indicate that the pedestrian was pushing a shopping cart along the northbound lanes of Christy Street when she was struck by a driver. Shockingly, she was then hit by a second driver while lying on the road. Tragically, neither of the drivers involved in the collision stopped to render aid or assistance.
