RUSSELLVILLE, Ky. – A Logan County resident, Tequilla Armstrong, has been apprehended by authorities on various charges, including operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol.
On a recent incident on West Ninth Street in Russellville, the Logan County Sheriff’s Office encountered Armstrong’s vehicle which almost caused a collision with a deputy’s cruiser, leading to her arrest.
Upon approaching Armstrong, aged 46 and hailing from Auburn, Kentucky, law enforcement officers detected a strong smell of alcohol emanating from her vehicle.
Further investigation revealed that Armstrong struggled to maintain her balance when exiting the vehicle, prompting deputies to conduct a search which resulted in the discovery of a single Clonazefram pill in her possession.
Following the findings, Armstrong was promptly taken into custody and transported to the Logan County Detention Center to face the charges brought against her.
Charges Faced by Tequilla Armstrong
Tequilla Armstrong is currently facing charges that include disregard – failing to yield right of way, operating a motor vehicle under the influence of alcohol (first offense), failure to produce an insurance card, possession of a prescription controlled substance not in a proper container (first offense), and first-degree wanton endangerment of a police officer.
