Mother Rebecca Chitwood recounted the moment she received the distressing call about her daughter’s attack, expressing her immediate panic and rush to the hospital. The image of her injured child haunted her thoughts, fearing the worst.
According to Chitwood, the attack occurred while Lillian and her siblings were playing in their grandparents’ backyard. A neighbour’s dog managed to enter the yard and viciously bit Lillian on her face, causing severe injuries that required immediate medical attention.
In the aftermath of the attack, Lillian has been enduring intense pain as she recovers from the near-fatal wounds inflicted by the dog. The wounds, including a deep cut on her neck that narrowly missed severing an artery, have left the young girl facing potential nerve damage and uncertainty about the need for further surgery.
Despite the harrowing experience, Chitwood expressed gratitude for her son, Nicholas, who bravely intervened to protect his sister from further harm. Nicholas’s quick actions saved Lillian’s life and prevented a more tragic outcome.
