Accident – Death – Obituary News : A 29-year-old woman from Cocoa, Florida, identified as Krishna Jade Janosky, found herself in hot water after a series of alarming actions that led to a federal indictment last week. The incident, which took place on February 7, involved Janosky ramming a gate at Patrick Space Force Base and subsequently carjacking a vehicle with her 4-year-old child on board. This event sparked a high-speed chase that spanned two counties and ultimately resulted in Janosky facing serious charges.

According to court documents, Janosky was indicted on charges of unauthorized entry onto a military installation, grand theft auto, fleeing and eluding law enforcement, and damaging government property. If convicted, she could potentially face up to 30 years in federal prison. It was revealed that Janosky had been dealing with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, at the time of the incident.
Following her arrest, Janosky expressed remorse for her actions, admitting, “I know what I did was wrong.” Reports indicate that she had no prior connection to the military base, which is situated along State Highway A1A just south of Cocoa Beach. The chaotic sequence of events began when Janosky drove through the flightline gate at the base, causing significant damage to the property. She then proceeded to carjack another vehicle, forcing the driver to exit before speeding away in a stolen Kia Sportage.
Law enforcement officers from Brevard and Indian River counties quickly mobilized to apprehend Janosky as she careened down A1A. Despite attempts to stop her with tire-puncturing devices, Janosky continued to evade capture until she veered off the road in Indian River County. Deputies were able to take her and her child into custody without further incident.
During her interaction with law enforcement, Janosky claimed that she was following the car in front of her, which had entered the base. She stated that she was directed, possibly by military police, to pull over but grew fearful of the potential consequences. Subsequently, Janosky was arrested and booked into the Indian River County Jail, where she pleaded not guilty to the state charges brought against her.

In a surprising turn of events, Janosky’s case was transferred to a mental health court diversion program in Indian River County. Federal prosecutors later sought and secured an indictment, resulting in the dismissal of the state charges. The investigation into the incident was a collaborative effort involving the 45th Security Forces Squadron, the Air Force Office of Special Investigation, and the sheriff’s offices of Brevard and Indian River counties. As of now, the status of Janosky’s child remains undisclosed, and no court date has been scheduled.
