LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WAVE) – The man facing charges for a deadly double shooting at a Louisville Roosters has been prohibited from working while on home incarceration.

Karson Reitz has been charged with murder following an incident in which he allegedly shot and killed 48-year-old Michael Miller and 51-year-old Bradley Cross at the Roosters restaurant on Preston Highway just days before Christmas in 2021.

According to reports, Reitz’s lawyers claim that the shooting was an act of self-defense, as a confrontation ensued between Miller, a former LMPD officer, and Reitz’s father, John.

Reitz is currently awaiting a new trial after a mistrial was declared by a judge in November. Despite a recent request for work release, the judge has denied this request.
