In a tragic incident in Fayette County, Iowa, a fatal crash occurred at the intersection of 240 St. and X Ave in rural Waucoma. The Iowa State Patrol responded to the scene at approximately 3:56 pm following a report of the collision.
According to officials, the crash involved a 2000 Chevy S10 truck that was travelling southbound on X Ave. As the truck approached an uncontrolled gravel intersection, it collided with a 2007 Ford Edge that was travelling westbound on 240 St.
The driver of the Chevy, identified as 41-year-old Joshua Quail from Waucoma, tragically lost his life at the scene of the crash. His body has been transported to the State Medical Examiner for further examination through an autopsy.
Investigation Underway
At present, the authorities are conducting a thorough investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash. The cause of the collision and any contributing factors are yet to be determined.
