OLDHAM COUNTY, Texas (KFDA) – A devastating rollover crash that occurred in Oldham County has resulted in the loss of one life, with the Texas Department of Public Safety currently conducting an investigation into the incident.
The fatal crash took place on Monday, July 1, at approximately 3:39 p.m., when a 2007 Hummer H3 was travelling in a westbound direction on I-40.

Authorities have reported that, for reasons yet to be determined, the Hummer swerved off the road and rolled over after entering the central median.
Tragically, a passenger identified as 47-year-old Fabiola Ahumada-Castillo was ejected from the vehicle during the crash. Unfortunately, Ahumada-Castillo was not wearing a seatbelt at the time and was pronounced dead at the scene by emergency responders.
Following the crash, the Hummer came to a stop on the inside shoulder of the eastbound lanes, marking the end of the harrowing incident.
Authorities have confirmed that the driver of the Hummer, along with two other passengers, sustained non-life-threatening injuries and were promptly transported to a nearby hospital for medical treatment.
The investigation into the crash is ongoing as DPS officials work diligently to piece together the events leading up to the tragic accident.
