Authorities in Greenwood, South Carolina have announced the arrest of two individuals in connection with a recent series of searches conducted by the Greenwood Police Department. The searches took place on June 29 at various locations in the city, including South University Street, Independence Way, Birchtree Drive, and Montgomery Street.
During the searches, law enforcement officers uncovered a significant amount of illegal substances and weapons. A total of 1,083 Fentanyl pills, three firearms, a kilogram of pill binder, methamphetamine, and $4,400 in cash were seized by the officers.
Following the searches, two suspects, identified as Demario Crawford and Lafayette Crawford, were taken into custody. Demario Crawford faces charges of Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm. Lafayette Crawford, on the other hand, has been charged with Trafficking Fentanyl, Possession with Intent to Distribute Meth, Possession of a Weapon During a Violent Crime, and being a Felon in Possession of a Firearm.
